2. General Information

We only process personal data to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and our content and services. Processing only takes place where a legal basis under Art. 6 GDPR exists.

This website does not use cookies or comparable technologies within the meaning of § 25 TTDSG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act). No tracking tools are used and no analysis of user behaviour takes place.

Server Log Files

The hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser transmits automatically with each page request. The following data is recorded:

  • IP address of the requesting device (anonymised after no more than 7 days)
  • Date and time of the access
  • URL accessed and volume of data transferred
  • HTTP status code
  • Referrer URL (previously visited page)
  • Browser type and operating system

This data cannot be attributed to specific individuals and is not merged with other data sources. Processing is carried out to ensure the smooth operation and security of the website.

Data Processing Agreement

We have concluded a data processing agreement with netcup pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. netcup processes data solely on our instructions and not for its own purposes. All servers are located in Germany.

4. Mapbox (Interactive Map)

This website uses Mapbox GL JS, a mapping service provided by:

What data is transmitted?

When the map loads, your browser establishes a direct connection to Mapbox servers. The following data is transmitted to Mapbox:

  • IP address of your device
  • Date and time of the request
  • Browser type and operating system
  • Map tiles requested and zoom levels

Mapbox may use this data to improve its service. We have no influence over Mapbox's further processing of this data.

Data Transfer to the USA

Mapbox is a US-based company. Data transfers to the USA are made on the basis of the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) issued by the European Commission pursuant to Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR, which Mapbox concludes with European customers.

5. Contact by Email

Gym operators can contact us via the "I own a gym" button on this website, which opens a pre-addressed email to info@gymtion.de in your local email client. No data is processed on our servers at the moment you click the button.

Once we receive your email, the personal data it contains (at minimum your email address, and any name or message content you provide) is stored in order to process and respond to your enquiry.

  • Purpose: Processing business enquiries from gym operators
  • Recipients: Internal use only — no disclosure to third parties
  • Retention: Until the enquiry is concluded, then deleted within 3 years — unless statutory retention obligations (e.g. commercial or tax law) require longer storage

Providing your data is voluntary; however, without an email address we are unable to contact you or respond to your enquiry.

With regard to your personal data, you have the following rights against us:
